Daniel Perry Brunn, 72, Cincinnati, Ohio while surrounded by his loving family, passed to his eternal heavenly home on June 24, 2023. He is preceded in death by parents Jack and Gertrude Brunn and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Bill and Norma Hershey.
He is survived by his soulmate, Yvonne (Hershey) Brunn, love of his life of 47 years. Together they have two cherished daughters Andrea (James) Quigley; Danielle (Nick) Hughes; loving papaw to Ethan, Carson, Grady, and Caitlin. His sisters-in-law Jennifer (Jerry) Schirmer; Annette (Rob Day) Hershey; his brother-in-law Greg (d. Terri) Hershey. Along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Dan's faith walk in his love for Jesus, was evident in his life.
Dan was a four-generation family of St. Marks Lutheran Church where he was confirmed and married by Pastor Mann. Over the years, he served as an usher, helped with youth group, served in the building of the new section of St. Marks.
Dan and Yvonne, his soulmate, love of his life for 47 years as a witness to the immeasurable love they held for each other. Their daughters, Andrea and Danielle, sons-in-law, grandchildren were blessed to have two faithful loving parents and grandparents as their role models. Dan was involved with girl scouts with his daughters and coached soccer for many years.
Dan served 25 years with the Cincinnati Police Department. In addition to his regular duties as a crime prevention specialist, he was a speaker or numerous Halloween safety and career day, neighborhood police officer, and vocational school instructional officer (the Oaks).
In the day of his passing, Dan was a security guard at the Cincinnati Water works for the past 23 years. He was a proud army veteran.
Dan loved the Lord's creation. He shared his interest with family and friends. Dan enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, archery and camping. Many hunting trips were spent on Rub's Mountain with family and close friends. If you were a family member, Dan made sure you knew survival skills and could live off the land.
Dan will be remembered by his infectious laugh, kindness, his delighted joy in life, and his heartwarming smile. He will be greatly missed, until we meet again.
Family will receive friends at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 5849 Buckwheat Rd., on Saturday, July 1st from 9:30 AM until time of funeral services beginning at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Marks Lutheran School.
