Daniel Robert Constable

Daniel Robert Constable, age 92, of Morrow, passed Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Otterbein Community in Maineville. He was born April 20, 1924 in Cincinnati the son of Clarence and Elizabeth Schuerman Constable. After graduating high school Daniel enlisted in the Army during WWII. He served in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe being decorated with the Bronze Star and Silver Star Medals, the Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze stars, the Russian Medal for Valor and various other medals. He was able to participate in the Honor Flight to see the WW II memorial and on March 23, 2013 he and another comrad were presented the French Legion of Honor Medal in a ceremony at the Georgetown Veteran's Home. He was also a member of the Community of the Good Shepherd Church in Montgomery. He is survived by his children Linda (Kirk Buck) Smith, Danny (Kim) Constable, granddaughters, Melissa McConnell, Heather Smith, Shannon Constable and Angela (Brandon) Price; great-grandchildren; Braxton, James, Mia and Miles, a nephew; Bill (Alice) Hamilton, a niece; Bonnie (Kim) Nuxhall and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Lucille A. Constable, second wife; Anne Hatfield Constable sisters; Alberta and Ruth Constable, Esther Hill, JoAnn Kautcher, an infant sister, brothers; Paul, Albert and Johnny Constable. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Community of the Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd. Cincinnati 45249 with visitation for family and friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford. Burial with military honors provided by the U.S. Army will be in the Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy. His family requests memorials be made to the Community of The Good Sheperd Church.
