Darrell Gene Howell

Darrell Gene Howell. Beloved husband of Carole (Cameron), loving father of Dena' (Bob Shelton) and Melissa (Andy Corn), PaPaw of Darrell and Elliott Corn, son of the late Aubrey and Flora Howell, cousin Vernon (Gulley) Stephenson passed away at his home in Owensville, Ohio on August 4, 2016 at the age of 74. Darrell was born in Maysville, KY and graduated from Maysville High School in 1961. Darrell was a Maysville High basketball player and was in the last class to graduate before the consolidation of Mason County schools. He married Carole in 1961 moved to Cincinnati Ohio. Retired from GE Aviation after 35 years. Darrell was very active with the Northeastern Lions Club and served as president 1989-1992. He was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award for dedicated Humanitarian service He was a member of the Owensville United Methodist Church, serving as a Deacon and was involved in church activities. Visitation will be held at the Owensville United Methodist Church on August 7th from 12 PM until His Celebration of Life Service beginning at 1:30 PM. Darrell will return to Maysville and will rest with his family members that preceded him in the Maysville Cemetery, Monday, August 8th at 10:30 AM.
