Daryl "DJ" Robert Ackley, Jr., 20, was born on October 18, 2005, in Cincinnati, Ohio. DJ departed this world on July 8, 2026. He is survived by his loving parents, Ronda & Daryl Ackley, Sr.; his grandmother, Jill Ackley; and a cherished group of sisters: Merissa (Ian) Steele, Jessica (Tom) Hall, Kristi (Anthony) Carrillo, Kiera (Tyler) Riley, Isabella (McKay) Shaw, and Lauren (Kaleb Boaz) Ackley. DJ is also survived by his step-grandfather, Gregory Burton and ten nieces and nephews. Daryl "DJ" was preceded in death by: grandparents Bob Ackley, Roy Mullins, Carol Burton, brother Brandon Smith, and his fur buddy Brownie Cookie Ackley, who he named. A graduate of West Clermont High School in 2024, DJ was a vibrant and passionate young man who left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He excelled in athletics, proudly participating in football, wrestling, and club rugby. DJ was an old soul in a young body, known for his loyalty and unwavering friendship. His genuine kindness and readiness to help others earned him the love and respect of his peers. With a deep love for cars, DJ was especially proud of his 2006 Nissan 350Z-a symbol of his spirited nature and passion for life. He also found joy in gaming, often immersing himself in the world of "Call of Duty." To know DJ was to experience his warmth, enthusiasm, and the brightness he brought into the lives of those around him.In loving memory, DJ's family invites friends and loved ones to join them for visitation from 6-8PM on Thursday July 16, 2026 in the Evans Funeral Home, Milford. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00AM Evans Funeral Home, Milford. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Union Township.
