Randy Barker, born February 13th 1958, was a phenomenal man to all who knew him. He brought immense joy and love to those around him. A devoted father, Randy poured his heart into his children who were the light of his life. He was a pillar of strength, hard worker, and problem solver with a quick and sarcastic wit. Randy was always ready with a plan and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Randy had a great love for horses and cherished his 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass. His dog Chief and his granddog Daisy, were his loyal companions, and he found joy in every moment spent with them. Despite the challenges and obstacles that life threw in his way, Randy's warrior spirit remained unbroken. Always resilient, he embraced life with an unwavering go-getter spirit.
An aficionado of music, Randy had a zest for life that was infectious to all who knew him. Always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences, he approached each day with enthusiasm and a contagious sense of humor.
Randy is survived by his loving partner of 25 years Roxanne Prater, his children Renisha (Robert Johnson) Barker, David (Angela) Barker, Katha Barker, Destiney Barker, Jessica (Kenny Jinkens) Barker and Rachelle Lyn (Keith Shures) Barker. His grandchildren David Barker, Briana and Hayden Peyton, Aurora, Skyler, Mason and Ronin Hill, Evelyn Kohler, Vivian Barker, Morgan and Parker Dause, Brielle and Carson Shures. Siblings Donna Jones, William "Bill" Barker, Lonnie Barker, Charles "Chuck" Barker and Gary Barker. Randy is preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Oreda Barker and his twin brother Frankie Barker who passed away shortly after birth.
In celebration of Randy's remarkable life, family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on Wednesday, April 17th from 10 AM until time of the funeral service beginning at 11 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Miamiville.
While Randy may have departed from this world, his legacy of kindness, resilience, and humor will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all as we remember the wonderful life he lived.
