David L. Block, 78, of Owensville, OH passed away on August 22, 2017 surrounded by his wife, family, and friends at Bethesda North Hospital.
David and his wife, Ruth Block, just marked their 52nd wedding anniversary on August
21st, 2017. Throughout their life they raised three beautiful children, threw magnificent family holiday gatherings, and traveled the country following their shared passion of racing and cars. Known as "Nascar Dave" because of his love for Nascar and especially Dale Earnhardt, David has touched so many lives in the local car and racing
industry. Racing was his passion and a hobby that established life long friends, many of which he considered family. David was a member of The Cincy Street Rods, a group of great friends who share their common love for cars. He also served his country as a military police officer in the United States Army. His service will never be forgotten and inspired his sons and two grandchildren to follow in his footsteps.
David Block is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Block; Sons Ricky Block and Randy Block; Daughter Tracy Block; Daughter-in-law Rebecca Block; Grandchildren Jason Block (Jacki Block), Joanna Howard Miller, Preston Block (Jillian Block), Mandi Felix, Cole Felix, Kayla Block, Kiana Block; Great grandchildren Lillian Norris, Khloe Miller, Prescott Block, Jeremiah Wright, Sade Wright, Pierson Block and a seventh grandbaby due in December.
Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home at 741 Center Street in Milford, OH 45150 on Tuesday, August 29th at 6pm with a Memorial service following at 7pm.
