David Charles Duttweiler, age 90, of Miami Township, passed surrounded by his family at the Hospice of South West Ohio. He was born June 18, 1925 in Findlay, Ohio the son of Cloyce Harold and Ivena "Iva" Brickman Duttweiler. He is a Veteran of the Army Airforce serving during WWII. He graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a Bachelor's degree in business. He started his career with the Studebaker Company in Findlay and after moving to the Cincinnati area he owned and operated the Golden Earth Natural Food Company in Springdale & moving it to Forest Park, he taught carpentry at Scarlet Oaks for a year and he was a self employed contractor and builder. He was a former member of the Batavia Rotary. While at Miami University he met his wife of 66 years, Colleen Murphy Duttweiler, whom he married August 27, 1949 and who survives, along with his daughters and spouses; Sharon & Duane Esser, Peggy Duttweiler, Karen Lewis and Penny & Thad Fahrlender, grandchildren Maria Duttweiler, John Lewis, Angela Bowman, Nikki Sanders, Cassandra Gunckel and Jessica Lipscomb; grandchildren Thomas, Elise and Melody Bowman, Adele & Boone Lipscomb, Mason Gunckel and Oliva Sanders. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Helen Payne and brother William Duttweiler. Services will be at the convenience of the family with burial in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford. His family requests memorials to the Hospice of Southwest Ohio, 7625 Camargo Rd.
