David Willard Henslee

David Willard Henslee, Age 91 of Miami Township, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 25, 2021, at his residence. He was born October 19, 1929, in Hammond, Indiana, the son of C. William Henslee and Martha R. (nee Sullivan) Henslee. David served in the U.S. Navy during Korean War; He was a courier during Peace Talks. He was employed with Cincinnati Bell as well as OKI Sound; David was a member of Cincinnati Wood Carvers; a member of the Free & Accepted Masons and a Scottish Rite; He volunteered as a firefighter for Rossmoyne Fire Department & EMS and volunteered with Day Heights Fire Department where he served as Chief. He was a Miami Township Trustee. David was active with Milford Christian Church and active with Milford Miami Ministries. He honorably participated in the Honor Flight for Veterans to Washington D.C. in April 2017. David is survived by his wife, Margaret C. Henslee (nee Weinman); his children, Sherrie L. Henslee, and Mark D. Henslee; grandchildren, Noah (Regina) Acuna, Ryan (Libbie) Henslee, Joseph (Lauren) Henslee, Jaime Henslee, Jared Henslee, and Jack Henslee; Great grandchildren, Viktor Acuna, Lilith Acuna, and Charlie Willow Acuna; along with several nieces, nephews, and those who knew and loved him; Visitation will be at Milford Christian Church 844 OH - 131 Milford Ohio 45150 Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be at the church Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Batavia Union Cemetery.
