David Wayne Monroe

David Wayne Monroe age 75 of Batavia, passed away surrounded by his family, Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the Hospice of Cincinnati, Anderson. He was born in Mariemont July 15, 1943 the son of George and Betty (nee Lohr) Monroe. He is a U.S. Navy Veteran serving right before the Vietnam Era and was retired from the Sheet Metal Manufacturing business. On July 21, 2006 he married Barbara Burton, who survives, along with son & daughter-in-law; Robert & Elizabeth Monroe, grandchildren, Sammy, Hannah, David and Jonathan, brothers; George, Jim, John, and Frank "Bud" Monroe. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Monroe and sister Susan Hastings. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford. Family and friends may visit 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial with military honors will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
