Poppe, C. David, 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away suddenly on February 22, 2018.
David was born in Cincinnati, OH, on September 28, 1937 to the late Alberta (nee Winkler) and Clifford W. Poppe. He graduated from Woodward High School and received a BS degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. Proud owner of the Poppe Medicine Shop of Silverton, Ohio (1971-2000).
David was a wonderful, loving and devoted husband to Marilyn (nee Williams). He is survived by his beloved brother Charles M. (Judy) and brother in law Richard E. (Georgia) Williams, children; Rebecca S. (Jeffery) Gardner, C. David II (Cindy), Jeffrey S. (Teresa) Newman, Judith P. (David) Fulcher and Hannah Armstrong (Karla Redden). He was a grandfather to; Christina L. (Marc) Sandlin, Emily P. (Ian) Adams, Joshua P. (Hailie) Newman, David II (Mackenzie) Fulcher, Alexander T. Poppe, Kayla N. Fulcher, Marissa A. Newman, Zachary D. Poppe and Corinne J. Poppe. Great grandfather to; Lily A. Sandlin, Ella J. Sandlin and Eleanor F. Fulcher. Father to his loyal companion, Dudley. Survived by many Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends.
David was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, past president of the Hamilton County Pharmaceutical Association, member of the AZO Pharmacy fraternity, the Veterans Apothecary Association of Cincinnati, Kentucky Colonel and former member of the Syrian Shrine of Cincinnati.
A viewing will be held at Evans Funeral home, 741 Center St Milford, OH 45150, from 4pm to 7pm followed by a short service on Tuesday, February 27th.
