With profound sadness, we announce the passing of David Joseph Sheridan, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left this world peacefully on August 16, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on February 4, 1933, in Fayetteville, Ohio, to the late Raymond Sheridan and Loretta Evans. David devoted his life to his family, faith, and community.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, David served honorably in the Korean War, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his service, he dedicated himself to his career as a factory worker with Proctor & Gamble until is retirement, where his strong work ethic and commitment earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
David was passionate about many things in life. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid bowler, and took great pride in cheering for his beloved Ohio State University sports teams. His love for family was evident in the countless trips he shared with them, creating memories that will last forever.
As a devoted member of St. Angela Merici Parish in Fayetteville, David's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He actively participated in church activities and was honored to hold the title of Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Father of Sourd Council #2423. His spirit of service and dedication to his community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
David was the beloved husband to the late Margaret "Peggy" Sheridan; Loving father of Danny (Carol) Sheridan, Mary (Greg) Hopkins, Timothy Sheridan, Jean Ann (Chris) Mullis, Jennifer (Mark) Bolitho, and Marlo (Paul) Knepp; Cherished grandpa of numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Dear brother of Mary Ruggerie.
Along with his wife and parents, David is preceded in death by his siblings Ella Belle Conley, Bill Sheridan, and Phillip Sheridan.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home in Milford from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Angela Merici Parish on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.
Family requests that donations be made to the Hope Emergency Program, an organization David held in high regard, reflecting his deep commitment to helping others in need.
