Deborah "Debbie" Anne (Jones) Barclay of Maineville, OH passed into glory on February 18, 2018. She was 61 years old. Debbie was born on February 4, 1957 in Utica, NY to J. Phillip Jones and Sylvia Smith. Debbie married her sweetheart Ed on August 6, 1977. Debbie was a devoted and loving woman who will always be remembered by those she knew for her pure, unwavering faith in Christ and her dedicated service for Him in every realm of life. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Milford, OH for nearly 30 years where she volunteered in many capacities, especially the bus ministry and children's choirs. Debbie was also an incredibly talented dressmaker and tailor. There was very little that she couldn't create or design with little more than an idea in her head.
Debbie is survived by her husband Ed Barclay, Jr. of 40 years; her three children-Edward Barclay III (April) of Loveland, CO; Beth Luken (Curtis) of Liberty Township, OH; and Kristen Carter (Michael) of North Africa; and her twelve grandchildren-Eli, Hayley, Maya, Grady, Caden, Reid, Alayna, Kenza, Silas, Ian, Everly, and Wesley-who affectionately called her "Grammy."
She is also survived by her father J. Phillip and Valerie Jones of Clinton, NY; thirteen brothers and sisters-Lawrence (Barb) Jones, David (Constance) Jones, Dale (Cathy) Jones, Lori Smith, Scott Jones, Rick (Sherry) Stuttard, Shari (Mark) Kane, Shelly (Phillip) Jacob, Andrew (Beth) Jones, Peg (Dave) Wise, Doug (Melody) Barclay, Alan (Kim) Barclay, and Rick (Bonnie) Barclay; and many nieces and nephews.
Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Smith (Dave) of New Hartford, NY.
We say a temporary goodbye to this beloved lady until we see her again in Heaven. Her children do rise up and call her blessed, not just in life but also in death; therefore, we sorrow not as others which have no hope.
In lieu of flowers and in order to better honor the legacy that Debbie left, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be given in her honor to Master Clubs, a ministry devoted to developing children for God. Memorial gifts can be sent to Master Clubs, 1369C Woodville Pike, Milford, OH 45150. Debbie's life scripture verse was 3 John 4, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."
Visitation will be held Wednesday February 21st from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Milford, 1367 Woodville Pike, Milford. Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 AM Thursday February 22nd at the church and the service will be live streamed. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford.
