Deborah S. Burwinkel

Deborah S. Burwinkel, age 63, of Owensville, passed away December 21, 2020 after a recent battle with cancer. She was born in Cincinnati on July 5, 1957 and was a graduate of Withrow High School. On November 3, 1979, she married her beloved husband of 41 years, Leonard Burwinkel, who survives her.

Following the examples of her dear mother, Phyllis Pratt (nee Spaulding), and Nannie, Mary Price (nee Recker), Deborah devoted herself to being the loving mother of Sharon (Brady) Neukam, Allan (Shannon) Burwinkel and Justin Burwinkel, and grandmother of Olivia, Luke, Alex, Kolbe, and Amelia Neukam, and Alaina, Kathleen, Michael, Jack and Aiden Burwinkel. She was the dear sister of Robert, Thomas, Mary and Patricia Pratt, and was preceded in death by Joseph, David, Charles, Donald and infant Elizabeth Pratt.

Deborah enjoyed doting over her family, sewing, fishing, gardening and following Reds baseball. Her care for others was immeasurable. She selflessly gave herself to assisting and advocating for individuals with disabilities and she retired from the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities after many years of service to the students of the Thomas A. Wildey School, near Owensville, and the clients of the Donald A. Collins Center in Batavia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on December 30, 2020 at St. Louis Church, 210 N Broadway, Owensville, OH 45160. Reverend Martin Bachman will celebrate the Mass. The burial will follow in the St. Louis Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday, December 29th at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford.
