Obituary

Diane Jeanne Storer (nee Piffer), 79, of Milford, passed away peacefully into the loving hands of her heavenly father on June 13, 2026. She was born April 8th, 1947 to Eleanor V (nee McCollum) and Richard F Piffer in Cincinnati, OH. Raised in Williamsburg, OH, she lived most of her life in Westwood and Bridgetown before moving to Milford.

A graduate of Williamsburg High School, she enjoyed working various forms of employment at Cincinnati Gas & Electric, McAlpin's Fine Jewelry Department, Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce, and Hallmark Greeting Cards. However, she considered her most important purpose in life to be the best mother to her two sons and raise them successfully. She felt extremely blessed to have been able to complete this task. Her life was filled with sacrifices to secure the happiness and success of her family that will forever be remembered and cherished. She greatly treasured the joys of being a grandmother and mother-in-law. She always made it a priority to be there for her family and to instill the generational values by which she lived.

Diane was truly a selfless person; always putting the needs and feelings of others before her own. Treating everyone equally and fairly, she was loving, generous, thoughtful, kind, meticulous, organized, resilient, disciplined and had an incredible sense of humor. She has enriched the lives of all those who knew her with her unique way of making them feel important to her. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on through her many wonderful friendships, acquaintances, and family members who will miss her physical presence but will keep her in their hearts.

In addition to her family, so many of her childhood and church friends remained a large part of her life. She also spent many years in special relationships that represented impactful times in her life. She loved shopping for a good bargain, doing things for others in need, and caring for cats and dogs, especially those who were neglected.

She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church; raised in the Williamsburg UMC, member for over twenty-five years of the Westwood UMC and most recently a member of the Milford First UMC.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eleanor V and Richard F Piffer, sisters Maralah (Lee) Morgan and Dixie (Jack) McGraw, and nephew Robin L Morgan.

Diane is lovingly survived by her sons Timothy J (Diane) Storer, Douglas M Storer, grandchildren Emma S Storer, Clara D Storer, Patrick D Storer and Kaitlyn E Storer, nephew Kevin (Lisa) Morgan, niece Deborah J (Robin) Morgan, and step-children Kevin (Julie) and Lisa Taylor.

A visitation will be held on June 26, 2026 from 10:00AM followed by a service at 11:00AM at the Milford First United Methodist Church, 541 Main St, Milford, OH 45150. Interment will occur after the service at the Williamsburg Cemetery 824 Gay St, Williamsburg, OH 45176.
