It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dolores Ann Gilardi, who left this world on December 18, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dolores embodied warmth and kindness throughout her life, creating a loving home where family was always at the heart of her world.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Matthew J. Gilardi, with whom she shared a beautiful life that was built on love, devotion, and teamwork. Together, they raised nine children: Augie (Cindy) Gilardi, Matthew (the late Debbie) Gilardi, Michael (Liz) Gilardi, Kathy (Donnie) Peach, Tony (Linda) Gilardi, Delores Caudill, Becky (Larry) Miller, and Rosemary (Jim) Combs. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kenny, whose memory she treasured, along with her daughter in law Candy Gilardi. Dolores cherished her role as a mother, and her legacy lives on through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her daughter-in-law Geri Gilardi, and her lifelong family friend, Rosie Marfisi. Dolores had an incredible ability to connect with people; she never met a stranger and was known for her compassion and kindness.
Dolores had many passions, including her lifelong love for puzzles, which she approached with the same tenacity and joy she brought to everything in her life. Throughout her years, she became a cherished friend to many, a confidante, and a source of unconditional support and love.
Funeral services will be held to honor Dolores's beautiful life and the love she shared with so many. The gathering will take place on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 at Evans Funeral Home in Milford (741 Center Street). A Visitation will occur at 10am, until the time of service at 11am. Interment will occur at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
As we come together to remember this remarkable woman, let us celebrate her legacy of love, family, and kindness. Dolores will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
