Donal G. Holland

HOLLAND, DONAL G. of Union Township, Age 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 24, 2023. He was born February 22, 1941, to Gordon and Adella Holland. Donal married Janene Kirker and out of this union they had two beautiful children, Stephen Holland, and the late Pamela Holland. He had four grandchildren, twins, Dustin and Darren Holland, Kristin Arnold, and Stephanie (Brandon) Platt. He had eight great- grandchildren, Dameon, Haven, Sebastien, Logan, twins Madison and Morgan, Jerzy and Emma. Don had one sister, Mary (Albert) Paston with two children, his niece the late Beverly Paston, and his nephew, Lance (Darla) Paston.

Don entered the United States Navy after high school, was stationed in San Diego, California on the USS Jason, a Vulcan class repair ship.

Don held many jobs but his latest was a Licensed plumber and helped build several golf club houses in the area. Don was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church – Glen Este. In Don’s spare time, he loved fishing in his boat with friends, and took many fishing trips with them.

Don will be remembered as a dedicated husband of 62 years, a loving father, grandfather, and uncle, and will be missed by many family members and friends. He will be rejoicing in heaven with his daughter, Pamela.

There will be a visitation at First Baptist Church – Glen Este 1034 Old State Route 74, Batavia, Ohio 45103 Tuesday January 9, 2024, from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery 2410 State Route 756 Felicity, Ohio 45153.
