Donald B. Alexander

Donald Braun Alexander Sr. was born February 14th, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He went to be with the Lord on July 28th, 2023, at the age of 92.

Preceded in death are Donald’s parents, Hildreth Simpson Alexander and Alice Emma Shaw Alexander, and his wife of 68 years, Joyce Elaine Alexander.

Surviving family members are Donald’s three children: Son Braun Alexander (Cindy) of Loveland, Ohio, daughter Melissa Whitley (Randy) of Salisbury, North Carolina, and son Derk Alexander of Milford, Ohio. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Josh Whitley, Stephanie Shaw, Laura Alexander, Tessa Pickler, Heather Parker, Randi Rose Trexler, Mandi Cameron, Jessica Alexander, Zachariah Alexander, Jakara Alexander, Riley Alexander, and Tristan Alexander. He also leaves behind 17 great-grandchildren.

Donald graduated from Amelia High School in 1949, then became an Army Sergeant in the Korean War. After returning home, he met and then married Joyce in 1955. He continued his career as a pattern maker and was also in sales at the Keebler Company. His career path then changed, where he worked as a technician and installer at Cincinnati Automatic Door Company from which he retired in 1995.

Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Evans Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 at 11:00 AM with a graveside burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
