Donald Rudd, a beloved husband, father, and community member, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on December 14, 1935, in Campton, Kentucky, Donald lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to his family and faith.
Donald, married to his late wife Ruby for over 60 years, was a pillar of strength and support to all who knew him. His love for Ruby was evident in every aspect of his life, and he cherished the memories they created together. They raised a family founded on love and faith, proud parents to son Anthony Ray Rudd and late daughter Sarah Jo Frost. Donald was also a cherished grandfather to Jenna Castello, creating treasured bonds that will never be forgotten.
A dedicated member of the Milford Church of God for over 30 years, Donald shared his faith with others as a Sunday School teacher and church clerk. His kindness extended beyond the church walls; he was known for his joyful spirit and captivating presence, never meeting a stranger but instead making friends wherever he went. He had a warm smile and an infectious laughter that could lighten any room, and his walks at Miami Meadows were a cherished routine that reflected his love for nature and the simple joys of life.
Professionally, Donald was a hardworking chemical operator at Hilton Davis Warehouse for over 40 years, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family and community.
Donald is survived by his son Anthony Rudd, his siblings Bill Rudd and Darlene Porter, and many loving family members and friends. He joins his late wife Ruby, his daughter Sarah, and his beloved sister Mary Jo Rudd in eternal rest.
Visitation will take place at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen (1944 State Route 28, Goshen, Ohio 45122) on September 30, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of his Burial at 12pm. Interment will occur at Myers Cemetery in Goshen. As we gather to honor Donald and reflect on the countless lives he touched, we invite everyone who knew him to join in remembering a truly remarkable man whose legacy of love and friendship will live on in our hearts forever.
