It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Donald Wayne Wilson, affectionately known as Butch, age 79. He left this world peacefully on August 31, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Newtonsville, Ohio, where he spent many cherished years building lifelong connections within his community.

Born on March 24, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Donald embodied the spirit of hard work and dedication throughout his life. Donald's love for antique cars and car shows brought him immense joy, serving as a testament to his passion for craftsmanship and history.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Crystal) Wilson, and his siblings: Mae Kirby, Mike Wilson, and Velma Reyes. Donald was blessed with a wide circle of family, friends, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn, and several siblings-Curtis L. Wilson, Daryl Wilson, Deborah Johnson, Jimmy Wilson, Terry Wilson, and Margie Wilson-who all played significant roles in his life.

Donald was a pillar of strength and support in the Newtonsville community, often lending a helping hand and spreading kindness wherever he went.

Funeral services will take place on September 3, 2026, beginning with a visitation at Woodville Baptist Church at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:30 AM. Donald will be laid to rest in a burial service at Plainview Cemetery.

In honor of his memory, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Newtonsville Food Pantry, a cause that was dear to his heart.

As we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Donald Wilson, we invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his legacy of love, family, and community. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
