Donna Cheyenne Goins

Donna Cheyenne Goins (nee Adkins) was born July 10, 1995, to James and Deena Adkins of Morgantown, Kentucky. Known as Chey to family. Cheyenne is preceded in death by her parents, James, and Deena; her son, Braylon; and her brother, James “Bubby – Baby Boy”. Cheyenne leaves behind her husband and soul mate of 10 years, Philip Goins of Batavia, Ohio, their children, Eli, JT, and her daughter Sissy; her sister, Tammy Adkins Reece and her husband Jerry of Middletown, Ohio; her sister, Sandra Pierson of Frankfort, Kentucky; her sister, Jennifer Brewer and her husband Brian of Pineridge, Kentucky; her sister, Deanna Medley and her husband Michael of Eaton, Ohio; her sister, Angel Stacey and her husband Sam of Lebanon, Ohio; her sister, Colleen Bitzer of Milford, Ohio; her youngest sister, Desirae Cherokee Williams of Batavia, Ohio; and her brother, Glendon Burden of Morgantown, Kentucky. Chey had 8 aunts and 3 uncles, Thelma Burton and her husband Joe, of Middletown, Ohio holding a special place in Chey’s heart.

Cheyenne graduated from Owen County High School while earning her CNAs license at 17 years of age. She worked as a CNA while attending college and raising their 3 children and completed her LPN, wanting to further her degree she attended Gaylen College of Nursing to complete her BSN. Upon her completion of her dream of becoming a nurse, Cheyenne and Philip and family went to Arizona and Texas becoming a travelling nurse. That was some of the happiest times in her life. Ultimately moving back to Ohio to be with her sisters and extended family which includes 17 nieces and 16 nephews, numerous cousins and second cousins. Cheyenne was a light that will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cheyenne passed away peacefully Friday, December 9, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home – Milford 741 Center Street Milford, Ohio 45150, Wednesday December 14, 2022, form 5:00 PM until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM. Evans Funeral Home assisting the family.
