Dora Mae Butcher

Dora Mae Butcher (nee Headley), age 93, passed away of natural causes on Friday, November 18, 2022. She is survived by her children; Sandra (Sam) Kuehn, Pamela (Douglas) Miller, Richard Butcher, F. Jack (Lorrie) Butcher, John Butcher and Doralynn (Tim Ecker) Osborne along with 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Edwin Cledis Butcher, her daughter; Darlene "Rusty"(Ronald) Girouard, son-in-law Denny Osborne, brothers; Louis (Betty) Headley and Alfred Arthur Headley.

Dora Mae lived a beautiful life raising her seven children and enjoyed watching her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren enter her world.

She stood alongside her late husband Edwin and together they built a successful tree care business, Madison Tree Care and Landscaping, which is currently celebrating 76 years of service in Cincinnati. It is now being ran by their 3 sons and 2 grandsons.

Dora Mae loved to travel, walk for exercise and she truly enjoyed decorating her home for the various holidays. Each holiday was welcomed with seasonal colors, flowers and a myriad of related tchotchkes. She also enjoyed the sound of bluegrass music and attending meetings held for WWII Submarine Veterans and their wives. She loved to browse through antique shops and delighted in finding “treasures” to add to her collection of depression glass, frogs, tea cups.

Her home was as warm and welcoming as her heart

Visitation Tuesday, November 22, 2022 10:00AM – 12:00PM with the funeral service at 12:00PM all at Evans Funeral Home 1944 State Route 28 Goshen, OH. Burial at Greenlawn Cemetery.
