It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Awanda Burch, who left this world peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 103. Born on January 16, 1923, in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Cliff Hotel. She found love again and married her dear friend, Ray Burch, who also preceded her in death. Dorothy treasured both relationships and the many memories they shared throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Pamela Poe, and son, Clifford Bart (Linda) Hotel. Dorothy is also survived by her adored grandchildren, Meghan (Doug) Daniel and Erin (Daniel III) Vinson, as well as her precious great-granddaughter, Aurelia Vinson. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dewain Poe, and sister, Jean Jackson.

A passionate and vibrant individual, Dorothy had a zest for life that was infectious. She was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds, finding joy in their successes and sharing the love for baseball with friends and family. Dorothy enjoyed bike riding, kayaking, and square dancing, activities that brought her closer to nature and community throughout her life.

A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy's incredible life and legacy will be announced and take place in the near future. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and the joy she brought to so many. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, an organization that provided compassionate care to Dorothy in her final weeks.

Dorothy Awanda Burch will be profoundly missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
