It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dorothy A. DeFelice on January 18, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on August 1, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late August and Ethel (nee James) Peter Jr. Dorothy lived a life characterized by love, kindness, and service.
Dorothy devoted herself to her family and her faith. As a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Milford, Dorothy played a vital role in the church community, notably by helping in the daycare, where her warm spirit and nurturing nature touched the lives of many.
Known for her sweet and reserved demeanor, Dorothy had a remarkable gift for making those around her feel welcome and valued. She took joy in the simple pleasures of life-spending time with her family and friends, sewing, cooking, and baking delicious treats that brought smiles to faces young and old alike.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of 60 years to her late husband Anthony J. DeFelice; Loving mother of James DeFelice and Jonathan (Tammy Hunt) DeFelice; Cherished sister of Saundra Joan Casnellie and the late Ethel Sonja Powlish. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Her legacy of love and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Dorothy's unwavering faith and kindness were a source of strength and inspiration, and she will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Milford on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM, leading into the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Following the service, Dorothy will be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
