Dorothy V. Gaines

Dorothy V. Gaines, (nee Willis), wife of the late Ethridge Gaines, devoted mother of Deborah Creamer, the late Pamela Reynolds, the late Rebecka Criddle and the late Stephen Gaines, loving grandmother of Jennifer Baylor, Shawn Creamer, Greg Baylor, Connie Cherry, Darron Reynolds, Brad Baylor, Brian Reynolds, Rachel Clock and Dan Baylor, and her thirteen great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Audrey Keaton. She is preceded in death by her sisters Lillian Sutter, Doris Beck and Francis Conner, and her brothers Elijah Willis, Russell Willis, and Richard Willis. Dorothy had a strong and loving faith in the Lord. One of her favorite Bible verses was “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” -Deuteronomy 6:5. She passed away early Easter Sunday morning, April 17, 2022 at the age of 90 years. “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies” - Proverbs 31:10 The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Milford, on Friday, April 22 from 10 AM until time of funeral services, beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at the Batavia Union Cemetery.
