It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Leach, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and treasured friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 89. Born on November 22, 1936, in Dryden, Virginia, Dorothy lived a life rich with love, laughter, and cherished memories, leaving a profound impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dorothy's true passion lay in the comfort of her home, where she thrived as a devoted family member. Thanksgiving and Christmas were particularly special to her-beautiful occasions filled with love, joy, and the laughter of family gathered around.
Dorothy found immense joy in gardening, nurturing her plants much like she nurtured her family. Dorothy is survived by her devoted son, Donald Leach; her loving daughter, Geneva Hittle; and her cherished granddaughter, Ava Hittle. She was the proud aunt to her nieces and nephews, including Debbie Cunningham, Alyssa Patterson, Laura Hughes, Shannon Ely, and Scott Ely.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Fayette and Edith Ely, and her siblings, Don Ely, Judy Haines, Opal Thomas, Tom Ely, and Chris Poe. Their spirits live on in the love and fond memories she shared with them, which continue to provide solace to those she leaves behind.
Private Funeral Services will be held for Dorothy at a later date. Memorial Donations can be directed to Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash (4310 Cooper Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.)
As we remember Dorothy, may we carry forward her love for family and her cherished moments we spent together. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with warmth and grace.
