Douglas Edward Key

Douglas Key was born on August 27, 1955 to Richard and Mary (nee Marr) Key, in Lawrence, Kansas. Douglas wsa the beloved husband of Wendy (nee Srofe) Key; Loving father of Niki Srofe Horak (Aaron Horak), Charles (Caroline) Key, and Richard Key; Grandfather of Chandler, Cade, Wesley, and Evan; Brother of Michael Key and the late Carolynn Key-Shur. Doug is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Doug was a brilliant man with a lot of passions. He loved his country and served in the United States Air Force. He was the Director of Airflow for Meyer Tool and held many patents for his work in Aerospace technology and airflow mechanics. Doug loved to listen to rock music and later in life he began painting different landscapes in his spare time. Doug will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Doug passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2024, at the age of 68. Resident of Batavia, OH. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home - 741 Center St, Milford, OH 45150. A memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 2:00 PM.
