Earl Paul Lorentz

Paul Lorentz Sr. age 78, of Wayne Township died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 at Clermont Mercy Hospital in Batavia. He was born Nov. 25, 1938 in Goshen, in the same house that he still lived at death, the son of John and Madilene Graham Lorentz. He was a truck driver for the Lenox Co. for approximately 23 years. Paul was very active in the community being a Wayne Township Trustee for 8 years, he was a Blanchester bus driver for a short time, he taught small engine repair at the Live Oaks Campus along with running a repair business of his own out of his garage. He had a love for playing country and gospel music and was the disc jockey for the Monday night gospel program on WOBO radio for a long time. He survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Ann Bridges, sons, Kenneth J (Vivian Tudor-Rodgers), Paul "Butch" (Sandra) Lorentz Jr. grandchildren; Stephanie, Stacee, Timothy James and James (Amanda) Rodgers III, Andrea (John) Lorentz-Shulimson, Arin (Mike) Lorentz-Keener, 6 great grandchildren, brother, Donald Lorentz, sisters; Betty Carman, June Allen and Jeanette Lorentz. He was preceded in death by his sons, James F. and Michael Timothy Rodgers, brothers, Edward and Joe Lorentz , and sister Helen VanWinkle . Services will be held 12:00PM Tues. Dec. 27, 2016 at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28 in Goshen. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery. Rev. Junior Pitman will officiate. Family & friends may call from 10:30AM until the time of service on Tues.
