In Loving Memory of Edna Blondell Garner

Edna Blondell Garner, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on November 29, 2023, in Milford, OH. She was born on September 19, 1938, in Cain Store, KY to Finley and Myrtie Weddle. Blondell is survived by her devoted husband, James W. Garner, and her loving children Tammy (Harry) Johnson, Mitzi (Mark) Fox, and Tony (Bridget) Garner.

Blondell found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, and her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Britainy McGowan, Keegan McGowan, Cassidy (Nick) Giordullo, Audrey Johnson, Jane Garner, and Avery Fox. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Finley Coffey, Easton Lehart, and Crosley Giordullo.

Blondell is survived by her brother Athel (Maude) Weddle and is preceded in death by Estes Weddle, Lawrence (Helen) Weddle, Thelma Weddle, Curtis (Maxine) Weddle, Arnold (Ruthie) Weddle, Hubert (Lucille) Weddle, Beatrice (Check) Pitman, and Inza (Curt) Luttrell.

Blondell dedicated many years of her life to her work at the Milford Advertiser and SDRC, making lasting contributions to her community. Her adventurous spirit led her to travel to Japan and South Korea. She retired at the age of 52 to fully embrace and enjoy precious moments with her family.

Blondell's greatest joy in life was playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Her laughter, warmth, and love will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her family, Blondell was very active in her church, Grace Baptist Church, where she was a founding member. She served as a Sunday School teacher, a member of the ladies auxiliary, and led the teen youth group. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she touched many hearts through her dedication to the church community.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Blondell's name to The Misophonia Research Foundation at Duke University or to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation. These causes were close to her heart as two of her granddaughters are affected by these conditions.
