Edsil B. Oaks

Edsil B. Oaks age 87, of Goshen formerly of Morrow and Blanchester passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Venetian Gardens in Goshen. He was born in Whitley County, Kentucky the son of George and Dovie (nee Petry) Oaks Edsil retired from the Ford Motor Company as a machinist. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Effa M. Gross Oaks, their children, Edsil Oaks Jr., Clayton Oaks, Valorie Swearingen, Linda Raisor, April Oaks, 29 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and his brother; Charles Oaks. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Taylor and siblings, Johnny, Jimmy, Doris, Martha and Mary Jo. Services will be 2PM Monday, January 27, 2020 with visitation starting at 1PM at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 State Route 28 in Goshen 45122. Reverend Mark Roysdon will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery in Harlan Township.
