Edward William Alsdorf

Edward (Ed) William Alsdorf beloved husband of 35 years to Sharon (Wimmer), loving father to Zachary (Laura) and Cody Alsdorf, cherished grandfather of Anna Alsdorf and Jonathan McDaniel, dear brother of Darlene, Dorene, Diane, and Earl (Tascha) Alsdorf, uncle of Hannah, Liza, Emma, and Olivia Alsdorf. He is preceded in death by his father Ralph and mother Mona (Julien), and stepmother Phyllis (Moore) Alsdorf. In addition to family, Ed was a beloved friend to many - through tractor clubs, car shows, & music, Ed touched many lives throughout his time here on Earth. Ed was born in Mariemont, Ohio in 1963. He was a die-hard bluegrass music-lover; playing the wash-tub bass, Ed and his large group of family/friends, would host frequent "jams" where they would play a multitude of instruments and sing the night away. In addition to music, Ed had a love for Farmall tractors and AMC muscle cars; having rebuilt & restored numerous tractors and cars with the help of his sons. He enjoyed attending many annual tractor shows and car shows with his friends and family, while riding around on his beloved jalopy. Ed fought many health battles throughout his life, but he never let that stop him from living his best life. Ed leaves behind so many who loved & cherished him, but also leaves behind many, many, many memories that will be carried on for years to come. Ed passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the age of 59, a resident of Batavia, Ohio. Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Saturday August 27 from 10am to 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Alpha-1 Foundation with designation to John W. Walsh Research Fund or WOBO Radio Station at P.O. Box 338, Owensville, OH 45160.
