Edward William Hughett

Edward William Hughett, born on April 8, 1970, in Cincinnati, Ohio, tragically passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 54 in his home in Goshen, OH. Edward, affectionately known as Eddie, was the beloved son of Edward Vard and Shawn Saundra Hughett. Eddie's love for collecting baseball cards and unwavering passion for the Cincinnati Reds reflected his charming and nostalgic demeanor, reminiscing about classic TV shows such as The Carol Burnett Show, Andy Griffith, and Mash.

A connoisseur of music, Eddie found solace in listening to timeless melodies, with songs like Mercy Me's "I Can Only Imagine," Vince Gill's "Go Rest High on that Mountain," and the soothing "Sweet Beulah Land" resonating deeply within him. His kind heart touched the lives of many and his spirit continues through all who knew and loved him.

Eddie is survived by his beloved mother, Shawn Yeary, his caring stepfather Aaron, his dear uncle Mark Cates, loving aunt Mellason Yeary, stepsister Kimberly Yeary, and cousins Greg, Amyrose, Beth, Mark A., Sierra, and Matt Yonker, as well as Christina, David Wayne, Elizabeth, Malachi, Samuel, Aaron, and several other cherished relatives. Out of respect for Edward’s deceased father, all his brothers, sisters and their children also The Hughett’s, The Russell’s, The Brown’s and The White’s.

A visitation to honor Edward's life will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 1:30 PM at the Evans Funeral Home in Goshen. Following the visitation, a heartfelt graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM in the serene surroundings of Myers Cemetery, Goshen. Evans Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for this final gathering of remembrance, celebrating Edward's life and the lasting impact he had on those around him.
