Edwin D. Wilson, aged 86, passed away September 18, 2021 at Christian Village at Mason in Mason, Ohio. He was born June 28, 1935 and raised in Bradfordsville, KY. He was a pastor for 60 years and lived in Madeira, OH for 50 years. He attended Kentucky Wesleyan College for a year before receiving his calling to serve the Lord. He then attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary where he met his wife, Myrna, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1958. He became an ordained minister in 1955, at 20 years old, and he served at churches in Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. During that time, he also worked at Swallen's Department Stores and eventually was asked to become their full-time Chaplain for all the employees. He enjoyed that role immensely.
He loved to sing, tell stories and watch cartoons. Ed gave a nickname to everyone he met. He was a proud member of the Kentucky Colonels, bestowed upon by the Governor of Kentucky, recognizing individuals for noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to the state. He authored two books, In Other Words 1 & 2, illustrations and stories that bring the scriptures to life. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Janna (Wilson) Markle and Rick, Craig Wilson and Debbie and 3 grandchildren: Kelsey and Taryn Markle and Charissa Wilson.
