Effa M. Oaks

Effa M. Oaks age 85 of Goshen, formerly of Morrow, passed away October 18, 2020 at the Venetian Gardens in Goshen. She was born January 11, 1935 in War Creek, Kentucky the daughter of Clayton and Maddie (nee Watkins) Gross. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Edsil B. Oaks preceded her in death January 19, 2020. She is survived by their children; Edsil (Brenda) Oaks Jr., Clayton (Linda) Oaks,
Valorie (Robert) Swearingen, Linda Raisor, April Oaks, numerous grandchidren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, siblings; Mervin Gross, Ralph Gross and Joyce Klave. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Oaks and siblings;Earl Gross, Maudie Gabbard, and Ruby Fisher. Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Evans Funeral Home 1944 St. Rt. 28, Goshen 45122 with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Reverend Mark Roysdon will officiate. Burial will follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery in Harlan Township.
