Eugene Durham of Waits Road, Mt. Orab, Ohio. Born in Clio, Kentucky, on August 13, 1931, and passed away on Wednesday September 22, 2021, at the age of 90 years old. He passed away at his home at 9:20 PM, his wife, daughters and son were among those present at his passing. Eugene leaves behind his wife Anna (West) (Kidd) Durham, his two daughters by his first marriage and their husbands, Anna Jo (Durham) Applegate and her husband Charlie, Wanda (Durham) Duncan and her husband Ron. his younger sister, Irene (Durham) Brim her husband Nolan, and his sister-in-law Iva Durham.
He was blessed to gain a son and daughter by his marriage to Anna, son, Byron Kidd and his wife Jo, and daughter, Felicia (Kidd) Lawson and her husband Ron. he also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, Eddy Applegate and his wife Erin, Dani (Applegate) Hause her husband Westley, Kassi (Applegate) Vonderwish her husband Dave, Andy Applegate and his wife Jamie, Kara (Duncan) Peace her husband Billy, Matthew Duncan his wife Jenny, Bryan Kidd, Shelly (Kidd) Partin her husband Robert, Justin Lawson and his wife Michelle, Jaret Lawson, and Jeffrey Lawson. He leaves behind 18 Great grandchildren, and 4 Great great grandchildren, also a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Matilda and father, Nathaniel Durham, his first wife, Zina Mae (Cox) Durham, two sisters, Dorothy Durham, and Pauline (Durham) Swift, and two brothers, Johnny and Leaman Durham.
Eugene was well known by many because he was an ordained Baptist Minister since 1966. He pastored Community Missionary Baptist Church of Norwood, Ohio, and Stonelick Missionary Baptist Church of Batavia, Ohio. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
There will be a Visitation at Evans Funeral Home - Goshen 1944 State Route 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122 Wednesday September 29, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be at the funeral home Thursday September 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Brother Rick Coffey will officiate. Following the service, burial will be at Graceland Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association 644 Linn Street # 1026, Cincinnati Ohio 45203. Evans Funeral Home - Goshen assisting the family.
