Evelyn Muriel Longworth, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on March 20, 1938, in the small town of Woodbury, Georgia, Evelyn spent her life nurturing those around her with her sweet nature and infectious humor.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband Ramon, spending time with her friends, and found great pleasure in feeding her family and friends. As the manager of the Milford Public Schools central kitchen, she fed the hearts (and stomachs) of countless students and staff. Her warmth and kindness were felt by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. With her caring spirit, she was always looking out for her loved ones and friends. Evelyn will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her laughter, caring heart, and the joy she brought into our lives.
Evelyn leaves behind her beloved spouse of 67 years, Ramon Longworth, her daughter Terri Longworth (Karen) and son David Longworth (Anne) and two grandchildren Joseph Longworth and Nicole Longworth. Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved son Ray Longworth, Jr., sister Linda Robertson (Paul), parents Ruby Jewel Brown and Joseph McPeters.
We invite all who knew and loved Evelyn to join us as we celebrate her beautiful life. A visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM and procession to Graceland Memorial Gardens.
