With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Flora D. Love, a cherished mother of 4 children, a loved sister and devoted friend, who left us on December 12, 2024, in Milford, Ohio. Born in the small town of Sardinia, Ohio, on October 4, 1948, to Lloyd and Olive Wright, Flora graced this world for 76 remarkable years, filling the lives of those around her with love and warmth and leaving a void her family cannot fill.
Flora was a proud graduate of Eastern High School with the class of 1967, where she laid the foundation for a life of hard work and dedication. After high school, she worked full time in a sewing factory. Later she found her true calling in child-care, earning her Child Day Care Management Diploma from the Stratford Career Institute. It was here that she made countless little hearts feel like they were at home, sharing her spirit and nurturing nature with every child who entered her care.
Flora's family was her everything. She is survived by and will be eternally remembered by her children: Lois White (Scott White), Thomas Campbell (Amy Campbell), Kristin Love and Shane Love (Sarah Love). She was also an incredible "Nana" to Jonathon White, Sarah Longtin (John Longtin), Evelyn White, Nathan Campbell (Julia Campbell), Makenna White, Pete Tupuola, Diamond Tupuola, Aliah Love, Dylen Maines, Jazmine Tupuola, Emanual Love, Ezekiel Love as well as a "Great Nana" to Dean & Ellis White.
Family gatherings were her favorite, filled with laughter, stories, and the knowledge that her true treasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her memorable homemade pizza's will be passed down to future generations.
Flora had a knack for crafting, often found stitching together cozy afghan blankets, intricate quilts, or creating beautiful latch hook rugs. When her children weren't at her side, she enjoyed participating in local 5k events, baking up a storm-cookies and candy for her loved ones-and tending to her beloved indoor plants. She had a great love for reading, puzzles, word searches, and the occasional bingo game with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Patsy Jane, Emma Belle, Mary Alice Reynolds and Olive Ruth Wright; three brothers, Robert Glenn, John Albert and Lloyd Everett. She is survived by siblings: Margaret (Roger) Lane, Nellie Wright, Wilma (Dale) Doss and William (Marcia) Wright. She was also a beloved Aunt to multiple nieces and nephew.
In celebration of her remarkable life, family and friends will gather for a memorial service at John H. Evans Funeral Home, located at 741 Center Street, Milford, OH 45150. The service is scheduled for Saturday, December 21, 2024 with visitation starting at 1:00 PM and Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. We will remember Flora not with sadness, but with love, laughter, and the sweet memories she gifted us all.
We invite you to join us in honoring a life well-lived and a spirit that will always be with us.
