Floyd Elbert Mason

Floyd Elbert Mason, born April 15, 1920, passed away January 28, 2016 at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband for 50 years to the late Lillian (nee Mullikin) Mason, son of the late Sterling and Carrie (nee Leeds) Mason, loving father of Floyd Sr. (Jeanne), Larry Sr. (Harriet), Garry Sr. (Linda) Mason, Bonnie Sue (Joe) Steele and the late Harry Sr. (Rhonda) Mason. Grandpa-Pappaw of Vicki Kuykendall, Dave, Mike, Larry Jr., Ken, Steve, Harry Jr., Garry Jr., Joe and the late Timmy Mason, Alisa Elkins, Bill Herrera, Chrissy Herrera-Sawyer, Sam Steele, Melissa Harrison. Great-grandpa of 30 and the late Scott Joerger and Great-great-grandpa of 10. He proudly served in the US Army AirCorp during WWII. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1971. He helped start the Goshen Life Squad and was one of the first volunteers along with his good friend Claude Thompson. A lifetime member of the Goshen Masonic Lodge #119, the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati and the Shriners Grey Mounted Patrol. Member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He won the Ohio Horse Trail Rider Locust Cup for Competitive Trail Riding, 3 years in a row until he was 63 years old. Family will receive friends at the Goshen United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 6th from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:30 AM. Memorial donations may be to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Leukemia and Lymphoma Program.
