Fred E. Burchett

Fred E. Burchett, age 79, of Blanchester, passed on September 30, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born July 13, 1937 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Marvin Troy and Delphia Burchett. He graduated Lucasville High School and attended some business college. He retired from The Continental Can Company as an assembly line Punch Operator. Fred was a strong man, a great provider and loved by everyone. He is survived by his wife, Linda Adkins Burchett, sons and daughters-in-law; Teddie & Monica, Eddie & Jackie, Larry & Kathy, Jerrie & Lois and Troy & Amanda Burchett, 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, brothers; Raymond, Stephen, Rick and Timothy, sisters; Lois, Mary Jane and Vicki. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter and a brother Charlie. A memorial service is planned for 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Daystar First Church of God on Center St. in Blanchester with a visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Reverend Mike Polston will officiate. In lieu of flowers his family requests memorials be made to the Fred Burchett Benefit Fund for the Wesley Chapel Cemetery Restoration & Improvements c/o People's Bank of Blanchester. This was a need that Fred was aware of and hoped to help with.
