Gary “C.C.” Wayne Brooks

Gary "C.C." Wayne Brooks, age 60, of Middletown died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Atrium Hospital in Middletown. He was born September 13, 1956 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Jesse and Patsy Centers Brooks. He was raised by his mother and step father, the late James Shilts. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era. Gary retired from the Lebanon Corrections Institute as a prison guard with more than 20 years of service and currently had been working with the Xerox Corporation. He is survived by his mother, Patsy, son, Shaun Brooks, grandson, Jaden Brooks, sister, Patsy Helwig, nephew, David Proud Jr. and niece Crystal Chambers. Along with his father and step father he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Brooks. Services will be 7PM Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford with visitation from 5PM until the time of service. Reverend Steve Penrose will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
