It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Michael Klaus, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on April 3, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on May 1, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gary spent his life serving his family and community with unwavering love and dedication.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Kristina "Tina" Klaus, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud father to his three children: Michael (Heather) Klaus, Brian (Leslie) Klaus, and Kari (Kevin) Hamon. The joy of his life also came from his five beloved grandchildren: Mikayla, Jordan, Jackson, Caleb, and Carson, whose smiles brought him endless happiness. Gary is also survived by his two sisters, Linda and Karen, who will forever hold their brother's memory in their hearts.
A talented woodworker known for his craftsmanship, Gary found joy in creating beautiful pieces and sharing his passion with others. He was a sociable man who could strike up a conversation with anyone, and he was especially fond of family gatherings where pie and laughter abounded. A devoted sports fan, Gary passionately supported the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds, sharing countless memorable moments with his family while cheering on his favorite teams. He was a longtime member of Saint Andrew Catholic Church, where he fostered friendships rooted in faith and community.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Betty, and his brother, Jim. His loving spirit, warm smile, and unyielding kindness will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will take place, Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9- 9:45am at Evans Funeral Home in Milford (741 Center Street). Following visitation, a Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church (551 Main Street) starting at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breakthrough T1D, a cause close to Gary's heart, to continue his spirit of giving and compassion.
Gary's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends as they remember his warmth, generosity, and the love he spread throughout his life.
