It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of George James Apgar III, who departed this world on April 10, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on April 8, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, George lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures.
George was a kind-hearted man who never met a stranger. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. His warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, creating a legacy of love that will be cherished by family and friends alike.
As a dedicated father, George is survived by his significant other Jackie Beach, by his beloved children: Chris Smith, Crystal Southerland (Jay Southerland), Jessica Brown (Brent Brown), Brittany Miller (Matt Miller), and George Apgar IV. He also leaves behind six wonderful grandchildren-Myles, Wyatt, Roman, Desmond, Nova, and Landon-whose smiles brought him immeasurable joy.
George enjoyed a multitude of hobbies that showcased his adventurous spirit; whether it was fishing, hunting, playing pool or darts, or wandering the aisles of flea markets, he embraced every moment with enthusiasm. Music filled his life, serving as a backdrop to his many cherished memories.
He is also survived by his loving siblings: brother Jimmy (Pam) Apgar, sister Mary (Mack) Pegg, and sister Brenda (Bill) Wolf.
A celebration of George's life will take place Saturday April 25th at 1645 Apgar Road, Milford, Ohio, starting at 1 PM. Family and friends will gather to share memories, reminisce about the good times, and honor a truly remarkable man. In the spirit of George, we will share laughter, stories, and perhaps even a game of pool in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to John H. Evans Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses. As we say goodbye, let's remember the kind-hearted spirit of George Apgar III and hold his memory close in our hearts.
George was preceded in death by: his parents George and Edna Apgar.
