George "Bucky" Bernard Imwalle, Sr.

George “Bucky” Bernard Imwalle, Sr. was a cherished husband of 60 years to Carolyn Pope Imwalle, loving father to Sarah Mueller (Mike), George B. Imwalle, Jr., John Imwalle (Kim), Mary Ellen Imwalle, Anita McDonald, Susan Cha (Peter), and Donald Imwalle, devoted Grandfather to Mary Beth Schamel (Kevin), Caroline Mueller, Michael Mueller, Emily Blair (Jeff), George R. Imwalle, Katie Venturella (Patrick), Anita Hellmann (Tommy), Annamaria Imwalle, Heidi Caudill (Patrick), Lily Imwalle, Greta Imwalle, Johnny Imwalle, Mandy DiSalvo, Megan DiSalvo, Olivia DiSalvo, Evan McDonald, Peter Cha, Winnie Cha, and Leo Cha, and caring Great Grandfather to Sarah Schamel, Olive Venturella, Eliza Hellmann, and Reo Hellmann. Bucky was a beloved brother to Mark Imwalle (Linda) and Paul Imwalle (Stefani) and brother-in-law to Georgia Imwalle. He is preceded in death by his parents, George H. Imwalle and Helen Connell Imwalle, and his siblings, Mary Ann Phalen (Tom) and Dennis Imwalle.

George passed away on Monday March 27, 2023, just two days after his 85th birthday. Bucky was a graduate of St. Xavier High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester Massachusetts on a full basketball scholarship. Additionally, Bucky obtained his Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. He was an esteemed Certified Public Accountant at the IRS for many years and valued Auditor for Cinfed Credit Union.

His competitive spirit and love for basketball led to a title of All-City Champion at St. Xavier High School. He continued basketball through College and thereafter by starting and coaching basketball programs for St. Louis School and Brown County Ursuline High School. Bucky’s truest devotion was to his family, including his beloved furry friends. He lived for Sunday family dinners and annual Cumberland trips with his children and grandchildren.



Bucky’s funeral services will take place on Wednesday April 5, 2023. His visitation is from 9:30-11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, OH. The  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Louis Catholic Church in Owensville, OH at 11:30 AM. Memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic School, P.O. Box 85 Owensville, OH 45160.
