George Jones

George R. Jones, 92, passed away on December 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Barbara, in 2020. He is survived by his brother Larry, of Wilmington, Ohio; his daughters Terri (Paul) Muething and Patti (Jeff) Marx; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

George was proud of his service in the Navy and went on to enjoy a long career in the automotive business. After retiring, he devoted his time to various Goshen Township activities, including the Park Board. He was a member of the Goshen Methodist Church, where he made many dear friends.

He spent his final years at The Lodge Retirement Community, and his family would like to thank everyone there for the kindness and care he received.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 10:30AM until time of services at 11:00AM in the Goshen United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
