Georgia Lee Martin, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on January 27, 1931, in Stearns, Kentucky, Georgia was a woman whose strength and love knew no bounds. She spent her life as a dedicated homemaker, creating a warm and nurturing home for her family, which was her greatest joy and calling.
Georgia was married to her high school sweetheart, Ross Martin, for 67 wonderful years, until his passing in 2017. Together, they built a life enriched with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Georgia's family was her pride and joy, and she would do anything for them, embodying the essence of a caregiver and role model. She is survived by her son, Ross Wayne Martin (Judi), her son-in-law, Tim Tepe, and her cherished grandchildren: Kate Tepe, Amy Martin, Chris Frank (Juli), Ross Wayne Martin II, JR Frank (Kari), Kieli Horton, and Josh Miniard. In addition, she leaves behind a remarkable legacy of 17 great-grandchildren who will carry her spirit forward.
Georgia is also survived by her dear friends Bob and Beverly Young, and Perry and Karen Monteith, all of whom admired her warmth and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ross, her daughter Barbara Tepe, her father, Oliver Burke, and mother, Clona King Burke, all whom have welcomed her into their eternal embrace.
A celebration of Georgia's life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home in Milford (741 Center Street). She will be laid to rest at Graceland Memorial Gardens, located at 5989 Deerfield Road, Milford, OH 45150.
In reflecting upon her life, we remember a strong and compassionate woman who knew the true meaning of love, family, and friendship. Georgia's legacy will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, reminding us all to cherish our loved ones and hold them close. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in our hearts forever.
