In Loving Memory of Gerald (Jerry) Lee Frickman
June 7, 1947 - August 31, 2026
Jerry (79) loved many things, but especially his wife, Donna, professional racing, amusement parks, and basketball. He spent a significant portion of his life teaching others whether they were students learning science at Forrest Hills School District for 30 years, kids learning the fundamentals of basketball on a team, or the grandkids on how to be a good loser in a board game. His love of amusement parks and rollercoasters led him to work at Kings' Island for 16 seasons where he worked as a Head Teller in cash control, and he enjoyed riding his last rollercoaster, Diamondback, in 2023. Between serial scoring for the Indy 500, buying multiple midget race cars, and watching motorsport racing, Jerry was an expert about racing.
Gerald (Jerry) Lee Frickman was born on June 7th, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio and spent his life as a teacher, husband, father, and race car enthusiast. He left this world on August 31st, 2026 and will be deeply missed for his bright smile, kindness, and loyalty.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Donna; his step-children, Rachel Barrett Knight (Jacob), Mark Barrett (Wendy), and Brittany Falkowski (Chris); his daughters, Kelly Merman (Kirk), Karen Frickman, Kristen DeStefano (Tony); and grandchildren, Everett, Elliott, Lillian Falkowski, and Finley Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Mildred Frickman, and his daughter Kathy Jo McPhillips.
To honor his memory, a visitation will be held at John H. Evans Funeral Home in Milford on Wednesday, September 9th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 10th at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest in Arlington Memorial Gardens on Compton Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Clermont County Animal Shelter.
