Gerald Joseph Wagner

Peacefully and surrounded by his children, Gerald Joseph Wagner passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 83. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 1, 1941, Jerry was a steadfast presence in the lives of those who knew him, embodying a spirit of loyalty and love that will be deeply missed.

Jerry was a hardworking man, skilled in many crafts and trades, most notably as a printer before the dawn of the digital age. His meticulous attention to detail and loyalty to his craft showcased his commitment to excellence. Whether he was remodeling a room, creating stained glass art, canning vegetables from his garden, or preparing a meal for loved ones, Jerry's hands were always busy.

Born the youngest of thirteen children, Jerry grew up surrounded by the strength of a large, loving family that shaped the man he became. His devotion as a husband and father was unwavering. He took immense pride in his role as a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, relishing every moment shared with his loved ones.

Jerry is survived by his children Barb Matulionis (Greg), Peg Besse (Mick) and Rick (Natalee); grandchildren Brigit, Alex, Sammy, Michael, Kian and Layne; great grandchildren Beckett, Brooks and Avery; and sisters Dee, Ruth, Carol and Janet. He is preceded in death by his wife Marianne, his parents Harry and Rose, and his siblings Harold, Norbert, Mary, Ralph, Paul, Ron, Roy and Jim.

We invite family and friends to join us in honoring Jerry's memory. A visitation will be held at John H. Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford OH 45150 on Wednesday September 3rd, at 6pm with services beginning at 7pm.
