Gilles William Mcdaniel

Gillis “Gil” William McDaniel Sr. age 81, of Blanchester, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at his home. He was born January 6, 1941 in Cincinnati, the son of Henry Lee and Merlie (nee Hopkins) McDaniel. Gil was a self-employed painter with 40 years of experience. On April 9, 1977 he married Wilma Blanchard McDaniel, who survives, children; Gilles McDaniel Jr., Michael (Stacey) McDaniel, Samantha McDaniel, step-children; John Lambert, Amanda Helton, grandchildren; Lindsay, Destiny, Zach, Colby, Amber, Jade (Leddon), Jaimie, Kylie (Rylan), Jayna, Derek (Amber), Nick (Maria), Josh; 10 great-grandchildren, numerous adopted grand and great-grandchildren, sister; Joyce Burress and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his step sons; Chris Lambert and Kevin Helton and brothers; Sam McDaniel, Henry Lee McDaniel Jr., Harley David McDaniel. A Celebration of Gil’s Life will be 4:30 to 6:30 PM Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28 in Goshen. A short service will begin at 6:30 PM.
