Grace Alice Tregoning

January 16, 1918 — March 12, 2015

Grace Alice Tregoning, age 97, passed March 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery. She was born January 16, 1918 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada the daughter of John and Irene Duhaag Burmeister. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Tregoning, and during their marriage and his work commitments, they lived in several countries, including Africa, Germany and Wales. Grace was an adventurer and searched out those in need in areas that they lived and never hesitated to assist in the community. After the death of her husband, her love of travel continued throughout her life. She had a motor home and traveled across country with friends and family.Grace was loved by all who knew her and was aptly named, "Amazing Grace" by her family and friends. If she touched your life, you knew it! Her laugh was infectious and she laughed often. She is the loving mother of Ernest (Judy) Tregoning, Rena Lynn (Daniel B.) Sutter, Gail Marie (Peter R.) Westenhaver and the late Irene Rogers, devoted grandmother of Christine Wentworth, Edward Sutter, Mark Westenhaver, Jennifer Casey, Lori Murphy, Brian Tregoning and the late Bradley Rogers, great-grandmother of, William & Sophia Sutter, Grace & Jack Wentworth, Carson & Gavin Fox, John & Zane Casey, Ali & Nick Westenhaver, Mekenzie Murphy, Jacob & Olivia Tregoning, dear sister of Harry Burmeister and preceded by 5 siblings. Grace will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be planned by her family for a later date.
