Gregory T. Johannes

Gregory T Johannes (Greg), Age 83, passed away on May 21, 2025. Greg was preceded in death by his parents Norma (Heusman) and Ulrich Johannes, and his brother Roger (Rita). Greg is survived by his loving soulmate of 29 years, Sherry Enzweiler; his daughter Jerrilyn (Ron) Ayers; Grandsons Greg (April) Ayers, Jon Ayers, Nathan (Katie) Ayers; Great-Grandsons Malachi, Maverick, Wilder, Jaxson, Soloman and Indigo; plus, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Greg was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 21, 1941. He graduated from Woodward High School and worked at Gibson Greeting Cards for 40 years in Logistics handling shipments of their products around the country and the world. Greg's passion his whole life was Ice Hockey. He began learning and playing when he was a young man at Cincinnati Gardens. He played for the Cincinnati Mohawks for 17 years in the Tristate area and coached Moeller High School's Hockey Team. He became lifelong friends with his teammates and enjoyed watching hockey the rest of his life. He also loved motorcycles, racing and riding with close friends for many years. A Celebration of his Life luncheon will be planned at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Cincinnati Chapter 720 Pete Rose way, Ste 330, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
