Guy W Lykins

June 18, 1930 — November 11, 2022

Guy William “Junior” Lykins beloved husband of Sandra “Sandy” (nee Tudor) Lykins; loving father of Ronald “Ron” (Regina) Lykins and Kendra (Rick) Hilbold; cherished grandfather of Nicholas “Nick” Wilson and Christina Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy B. and Mabel Frances (nee Sutcher) Lykins; and siblings, Audrey Gooch and Don Lykins. Went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 11, 2022, Age 92. Residence Milford, Ohio. Junior was born June 16, 1930 in the former Gatch house on US 50 just east of Castrucci Chevrolet. His early years were spent living and working in the Milford area involved in dairy, cattle and grain farming. In the mid 1940’s, the family moved to a farm in Newtonsville, OH where Junior helped farm, drove a water delivery truck and worked for a farm supply and implement company. His father acquired a service station business, which would be blessed to grow into one of the largest petroleum marketers in the Midwest and largest family business by revenue dollars in Ohio. Junior served honorably in the US Army during the Korean war. He was an exceptionally good, humble and reserved man. Junior was friendly and never met a stranger. He loved people and always had a joke or story to tell. Junior was a saved Christian man. His faith and love of Jesus Christ and the Church was the foundation of his life. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Glen Este and a former member of First Baptist Church of Milford. Junior loved the Lord, served his country, took care of his business, provided for his family and loved others. He was a great man that will be greatly missed and pleasantly remembered. Junior lived a wonderful and blessed life.

Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Glen Este, 1034 Old State Route 74, Batavia, OH on Monday November 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:30 AM at the church. Burial with military honors will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Newtonsville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Cincinnati (found at bottom of page) or Miami Township Memorial Tree Program. Donations for the Memorial Tree Program can be sent to 741 Center Street, Milford, OH 45150.
